The Texas College Wrestling Foundation is proud to lead the fight to bring the sport of wrestling for both men and women to the colleges and universities to the great state of Texas. The Foundation is comprised of businesspeople, coaches, and those who both honor and love the sport of wrestling. The Foundation is reaching out to schools across the state offering assistance in developing a wrestling program for both men and women.

Update or November 17th, 2023

Great news Texas!  We are starting to get the traction that we hoped for in our initial fundraising goal last June.  We now have a donor who is willing to match the next $100,000 in donations to our Tarleton State wrestling initiative.  As many of you know, Tarleton State is interested in starting an NCAA D1 Wrestling Program if we, the Texas wrestling community, can Raise $2M this year, and $1M a year for the next four years.  The task was huge, but we are finally seeing results!

We need everyone in Texas that supports wrestling to become aware and contribute to this effort.

We are doing this for every High School, Middle-School, and club wrestler in the state. (Over 20,000 strong!)  This is about providing scholarship opportunities to Texas High School wrestlers and providing their families with much more cost-effective travel costs to see their child continue their wrestling careers in college.  Our foundation’s goal is to support Texas Collegiate Wrestling.  Once the first domino falls into place, others will surely follow.

We have added a video from perhaps the greatest High School and College Wrester in Texas History.  Bo Nickal does indeed know Texas, and hopes you can take the time and effort to help us out.

We have established a 501c-3 nonprofit organization to assist in the development of Men’s and women’s Intercollegiate Wrestling Programs in Texas.

All donors will receive a 501c-3 Tax Compliant Donation Receipt and full recognition on the foundation website. Men’s and Women’s D-1 Intercollegiate Wrestling Programs do not currently exist in Texas. Your gift will be used for the development of such programs. Your pledge shall be only utilized for the establishment and maintenance of these programs.

To maximize your donations impact please consider exploring whether your employer offers a Corporate Giving Program. Employers with a Corporate Matching Gift Program financially match donations that their employees make to nonprofit organizations. When an employee makes a donation, they’ll request the matching gift from their employer, who then makes their own donation. Employers often have their own matching eligibility guidelines, processes, and policies. 65% of Fortune 500 companies have a Corporate Matching Gift Program.
